The Damon Albarn-led cult animated band Gorillaz have announced a brand new festival under the name Demon Dayz, taken from their breakout album, that will take place on June 10th in Dreamland Margate, the amusement park in Margate.
The festival will see the act’s first performance since their New Zealand shows in December 2010 and subsequently signs them out of the race to be the 2017 Glastonbury Festival‘s final headliner. No other acts for the festival have been announced but speculation would surround current and previous collaborators with Gorillaz, such as Vic Mensa, De La Soul, The Fall, Benjamin Clementine and even Massive Attack could take part.
Red Bull are the official partners of the festival and will likely livestream the event on Red Bull TV during their lengthily summer festival coverage. The festival will take place June 10th and tickets are on-sale 9am 10th March.
