Liverpool Sound City gets better by every announcement they make, proven by today’s confirmation of the Tim Peaks Diner and Emerging line-ups, which both include fantastic names. The festival has also confirmed The Cribs, VANT and Declan McKenna will join the festival line-up too.
The Tim Peaks Diner will be present again this year, an amazing UK festival constant led by the Charlatans frontman. This year, the legendary Velvet Underground member John Cale will be in-conversation in the diner the night after his bound-to-be historical performance at the Docks, while the following day Tim Burgess himself will be in conversation. Performances by Gulp, The G-O-D, The Rhythm Method and Tom “Mouse” Smith will also be presented by Tim Peaks over the weekend.
Also confirmed was the bill for the Sound City Emerging Talent Showcase set to take place over the weekend with AE Mak, Ali Horn, Catholic Action, Chay Snowdon, Colonel Mustard & The Djion 5, Cotillion, Crimsons, Diealright, Fur, FUSS, Oranj Sun, Pixey, Queen Zee & The Sasstones, Re-tros, Shrinking Minds, Ssing Ssing, Swiimers, Tom Dunne, Violet Youth and Wasted Johnny’s. The huge talent bill comes just months after Sound City was awarded Best Festival For Emerging Talent from the UK Festival Awards.
