Låpsley Covers Foals For Triple J and More

Liverpool‘s own Låpsley stopped by legendary Australian radio station Triple J this week to preform a cover of Foals“Mountain at My Gates” and a song of her own material.

Låpsley, the electronic vocalist, who released her debut album Long Way Home (XL, 2016) back in March is doing the rounds supporting the record. During which, she stopped by Triple J‘s studio with her dad in-toe.

She first preformed the lead single off her debut album “Cliff” for the Triple J station, which showcases Låpsley‘s amazing vocal ability and her often-gloomy songwriting, yet is a great performance.

Before her performance of the Foals hit, Låpsley told a story of seeing Foals play Leeds Festival when she was 15 (shockingly only four years ago) and crying when she saw the band preform “Spanish Sahara”.

However Låpsley strongly tackled the song stripping it from it’s modern rock core to a electronic synth heavy song that is tightly held together with Låpsley‘s powerful yet often elfin voice.
